Overview
After a successful series of lectures in 2021, Evolutionary Psychologist and author Christopher Grandison returns to the Centre to share more of his expansive knowledge on Race and Racism from an evolutionary perspective. In the second instalment, he dives deeper into the scientific research and data on Race and discrimination. Each class will explore the contemporary manifestations and impacts of Racism, and take an in-depth look at the landmark social and legal precedents that created the racial hierarchy.
At the end of the series, delegates will be well informed on how to utilise indigenous culture and psychology to build racial unity and soft power, imperatives for community progress and transformation.

- Neo-Group Selection and Mass Incarceration Mon 6th June 22
- The Relationship Endemic – Unbalanced Sex Ratios Thurs 23rd June 22
- Violence, Social Competition and Discriminatory Ecologies Thurs 7th July 22
- How Evolutionary Literacy Solves Social Problems Thurs 21st July 22
Sessions start at 7.00 pm GMT/WAT sharp and last for 2 hrs. Sessions include group discussion and participation. Pre-reading from Racial Hierarchy is encouraged before each class.
